So, I had the day off today with high hopes of working on the kitchen island. However, that did not happen. A nap and pizza with the wife won out in the end. And oddly enough, I was not too torn up.
Anywho, I decided I was going to ditch at least one game of sudoku a day and write something, as I had originally planned. We will we how this goes.
I didn't do a whole lot today do I dIdn't really see a lot of people. The pizza joint was pretty empty. We did get some ice cream at McDonalds and even that was rather unexciting.
Where does that leave me? To my imagination, of course. I often wonder if my imagination is really in control anyway. I let myself ponder what kind of fictional world would I create if I were to decide to write a series of novels:
Would I lean towards a uptopian or dystopian society?
Would there be a physical, personal, political or revolutionary struggle/theme?
What would I really want to see in society? Morals, values, ethics. Would we have more intellectually advanced, more spiritual or more logical humans?
Legal structure. Would I fight against punishment leniancy? Would that be an on going struggle?
Do I spell it all out or do I make the protagonist torn between duty and his beliefs?
I guess that's the beauty of writing: I can do anything I want! I wish I knew more history. I would love to do a time piece; set in the 30's, a man has a falure of his faith as the Depression sets upon the country. I guess I will just have to read more!
Well, this blog is turning into a journal and that is NOT what I intended when I decided to do this little project. I just need to focus, plain and simple.

Blog software...
So, I updated my blogging software on my iTouch and discovered that once I post a blog I can't edit it and re-post it any more.
I find that annoying. I liked the way it functioned before but free is free and you get what you pay for, right?
I should sit at a computer more as it would be so much easier to write at than tapping this tiny little keyboard!
The point is... I had a point. To write - that's the point. I'll figure something out, but regardless I need to just get back in the habit of writing more; plain and simple.

Student employees...
I was sitting in the cafeteria near a male student when a female student walked up to his table.
At first I thought nothing of their conversation, but then I looked up and realized there was something about the two.
The male student was rather nerdy looking; rail thin and wearing a hair style that my uncles would have been proud of - back the 70's! He was a polite, well spoken young man, a boy really.
Sounds like a lot of freshman, right? What made his appearance stand out to me? The female student.
She was fairly tall, maybe 5' 7, slender build and long shiny brunette hair. Her voice was sweet, calm. She was very attractive.
The Pretty Girl came up to the Nerdy Boy. I just had to watch!
His leg bounced under the table as she spoke. The smile on his face interfered with the pronunciation of words it was so wide. His eyes were wide and she definately had more than his full attention.
The female student flipped her hair from time to time. Shifting her weight from hip to hip, she spoke softly with her hands.
As she walked away from his table, she picked up get trash from her table. She walked slowly, smiling to the trash can, the boy behind her.
After she dumped her trash she glanced over her shoulder at the unaware boy. She held the glance for several moments as she walked.
I found this very intriguing. She clearly was interested in this young man. It was entertainmg; young love in bloom.

Sad...
I guess this little experiment is not going so well. I have been finding myself once again ditching my needs to make sure others are getting what they want. I really need to allow myself to indulge in my interests, if even only for a few minutes a day. I am sure I could figure something out...
